Week in Struggle: March 5-11


The People’s Liberation Guerrilla Army (PLGA), led by the Communist Party of India (Maoist), carried out various actions against police and armed forces of the reactionary Old State over the past week.

An Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) officer was killed by an improvised explosive device (IED) explosion in the Narayanpur district of Chhattisgarh. An officer of the Chhattisgarh Armed Forces (CAF) was also killed by an explosive device near the village of Pahurnar. Three Jaguar State Police officers were also killed in a planned detonation of a claymore (anti-personnel mine) in the West Singhbhum district of Jharkhand.


Communist Party of Turkey/Marxist-Leninist (TKP/ML) militants erected a banner in memory of the resistance to the massacre that happened 26 years ago in the Gazi neighborhood of Istanbul. The banner read, “We will ask for the account of Gazi!” signed by TKP/ML-TIKKO.


Graffiti demanding the release of revolutionary rapper Pablo Hásel was reported in Belo Horizonte. It read, “Freedom for Pablo Hásel! It Is Right to Rebel!” and was signed by the Popular Revolutionary Student Movement.

The Sanitary Committee for Popular Defense (CSDP) of Vespasiano spoke to people about demand for vaccines, mass testing, and emergency aid in the form of minimum wage. Flyers with the demands were posted in the Morro Alto neighborhood, signed by the Union of Civil Construction Workers of Belo Horizonte and Region, the Union of Postal Workers of Minas Gerais, the Workers’ League, and the Struggle for Socialism. 

Graffiti has also continued appearing throughout the country with the slogan “Vaccine for the People Now!”

The Popular Student Movement held a solidarity action for revolutionary rapper and political prisoner Pablo Hasél, demanding his freedom.


The organization Revolutionary Youth organized physical training, provided basic necessities in solidarity with those suffering in the economic crisis, and sold copies of revolutionary newspaper La Cause du Peuple throughout various cities.






In Freiburg, activists held a lecture on the development and history of the French organization Gauche Proletarienne, coinciding with 49th anniversary of the death of Pierre Overney, a militant of the organization and worker who was killed by a reactionary security guard for distributing pamphlets to workers.


Stickers demanding justice for the wrongful conviction of Brendan McConville and John Paul Wootton by an illegal British court in Ireland were put up in Lurgan, Craigavon, and Derry.

United States


Graffiti was documented promoting the Poor Peasants League (LCP) and the peasant struggle in Brazil with the slogan “Conquer the Land! Destroy the Latifundium! Love Live Camp Manoel Ribeiro in Brazil!”

Graffiti in solidarity with political prisoner of the Spanish state Pablo Hasél was also seen reading “Free Pablo Hasél!” in both English and Spanish along with red flags.

Other slogans promoting International Workers’ Day was also seen around the city, reading, “Proletarians of All Countries Unite!,” “It Is Right to Rebel!,” and “May 1, International Workers’ Day!”

Elsewhere other graffiti was documented reading “Make the Ruling Class Pay for its Own Crisis!” as well as “The Capitalists Cause your Problems, Socialist Revolution Solves Them!”

Los Angeles

Graffiti promoting International Workers’ Day was also seen in Los Angeles with the slogan “It Is Right to Rebel! International Workers’ Day!”
